About Me
As a graduate student at Rensselaer, especially in the humanities, it can be difficult to find a community of like-minded individuals. However, one thing most graduate students can agree on, specifically those serving as teaching assistants, is our desire to get better at our jobs. In the fall of 2015, I began organizing graduate teaching workshops where graduate students from across the university could come together and become better instructors. This has been very well received and the encouragement from faculty, staff, and students has been tremendous.
Along with my academic commitments, I also volunteer at WRPI, Rensselaer’s campus radio station. I began broadcasting almost nine years ago as an undergraduate and believe that college radio is a fantastic place for any student who is having a difficult time acclimating to academic culture. Beyond campus life, I volunteer with Soliya, a program that works to decrease the divide between the West and predominantly Muslim societies, and I have been a science fiction hip-hop artist for the better part of two decades.
