About Me
As a freshman, I became active in both NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and the RPI Dance Team. During my freshman year, I shadowed the Pre-College Initiative for NSBE. The Pre-College Initiative (PCI) is a program designed to garner interest among high school students for STEM related careers and majors. Also the second semester of my freshman year I became the treasurer for the RPI Dance Team.

Since then, I have held an officer position on the RPI Dance Team, 1 year as treasurer and 1.5 years as Co-Captain. As an officer on the RPI Dance Team I have had the opportunity to be apart of the transformation of Dance Team into competitive collegiate dance team. For the 2nd year in row we have won the 2nd place in the Pom Category at the New England Regional Championship. As Co-Captain, I have worked with the officers of Dance Team to essentially turn the RPI Dance Team into a Spirit Organization that supports Athletics and other campus organizations. As a result, the RPI Dance Team has had the opportunity to perform at Basketball Games, Football Games, Relay for Life, Union after Dark, and other events around campus.

I have also been involved with the Office of Admissions as a Student Coordinator for events such as STAR and Garnet D. Baltimore Event, which are tasked with creating more diversity among women and minorities on campus.
