About Me
I have served on the Graduate Student Council since 2014, serving as the Vice President from 2016-2017. During my time on the council we have undertaken several major thrusts, including the successful advocacy for stipend increases and the creation of the Graduate Research Symposium. I served on the Student Senate as a Graduate Senator from 2014 to 2016, during which I headed the Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) from 2015-2016, and oversaw the rollout of several key initiatives, including an online directory of undergraduate research projects and a course syllabus catalog. Since leaving the Senate and AAC I’ve continued to work on the development of support systems for students seeking external funding, with a focus on the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, as well as serving on the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee.
I have also served on the Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering Student Advisory Council from 2015-2017, with my efforts on the council focused on the development of the curricula to incorporate enhanced coding education and requirements. Off campus, I had the pleasure of representing Rensselaer in the 2015 Nuclear Engineering Student Delegation.
