About Me
During my time at RPI, I aimed to enhance the support for graduate students in the biomedical engineering program. I served as the president of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Council where I worked to improve the process of recruiting new graduate students and foster community between current graduate students. I worked with faculty to improve a professional development course for graduate students that included lectures on fellowships, salary negotiation, and communication with your advisor. I was also an outreach chair on the biomedical engineering graduate council, running outreach programs to teach local K-12 kids about STEM.
In addition to the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Council, I also prioritized the mentorship of RPI undergraduates. Douglas Wich and I developed a program to mentor students on the process of applying to graduate school. I also mentored undergraduates, masters students, and a lab technician on a variety of research projects because I want my students to develop confidence and competence in their STEM skills and be able to apply them to a variety of STEM professions.
