About Me

Throughout my undergraduate career, I have been heavily involved in the RPI Society of Women Engineers (SWE) (https://swe.union.rpi.edu/). I began my involvement by joining the Executive Board my freshman year as Freshman Representative. Throughout my four years, I continued my Executive Board involvement, holding positions such as Co-Engineering Event Director, where I helped plan the large-scale STEM outreach event, Exploring Engineering Day, Co-Summer Arch Representative, where I helped keep SWE active during the inaugural summer semester, Treasurer, and President, where I helped keep SWE events running throughout complete virtual programming. In addition to SWE, I have been involved in the RPI Engineering Ambassadors program (http://engineeringambassadors.union.rpi.edu/live/) since my freshman year. Throughout my time there, I created and gave presentations as well as hands on activities to get young students excited about STEM fields. I have participated in many different school visits, STEM days, outreach events, and the annual trip to St. Raymond’s High School in the Bronx, New York. I have also been a part of the iPERSIST Calculus mentoring program (https://success.studentlife.rpi.edu/new-students/i-persist-mentoring-chemistry-calculus-and-physics) where upperclassmen help guide first semester freshmen through classes like Calculus 1 as well as their time at RPI. As a former mentee in the program who found it extremely beneficial, I went on to become a mentor and then a senior mentor and helped transition the program to be completely virtual.
