About Me:

My first leadership role at RPI was through the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), in which I acted as a Freshman Representative. In subsequent years, I served as the Exploring Engineering Day Director and the Outreach Director. In both positions, I organized events connecting RPI SWE members with local girls to encourage them to consider engineering as a potential future career. Throughout my time in SWE, I treasured the connections I forged with the rest of the executive board and the impact we were able to have on our community, both on the RPI campus and beyond.

Membership in Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society granted me another avenue to partake in community service. Since being inducted during my second year at RPI, I have been able to volunteer at food banks, hiking trail clean-ups, and educational outreach events. That same year, I also became a physics mentor in the I-PERSIST program at RPI, aiding freshmen students not only in coursework, but also in the transition to college life. My second year in this program, I became a senior mentor, making me responsible for preparing other physics mentors to guide their mentees.

Perhaps my most impactful leadership role at RPI has been serving as the School Visit Coordinator for Engineering Ambassadors. I joined this organization my freshman year and witnessed the profound impact members had on K-12 students by opening their eyes to the world of engineering and the opportunities it could offer them. This year, as a member of the board, I have been able to expand our reach and vastly increase the number of students we inspire.
